The Spectacles I snapped several pictures of this lady sitting alone on a park bench. She looked so pensive and a bit sad. She peered right into my camera for this one frame and I knew I had the picture. After she noticed me, I then gave her a head nod to my camera to say, "Hey is it ok if I take your picture?" and she noded back then smiled for a few more pictures. I knew the whole time I was taking them that I already had the one I needed.
The LaceI sat for probably an hour and listened to this girl play the Ukulele and sing. She was so incredible! I wanted to take her music home with me, but alas all I got was a picture of her.
The BeardThis man was happy to pose for me, but I felt a bit too happy. He looked smiling and joyous for the first several shots and it just wasn't telling the story I wanted. I asked him if he could look kind of sad, but don't actually have big frown. Apparently he takes direction extremely well, because this is that face he made!
The LipsI think I really made this girl's day when I asked to take her photo. She just had such an interesting and beautiful look and once I saw her I knew I had to ask if she would pose for me.
The EyesI love asking strangers if I can take their picture. It's rather exhilarating because you never know what they are going to say or do. I asked this woman, and she agreed then immediately posed exactly like this. Perfect.
